Not normal. Sounds like you have some power issues. Like too much stuff on one circuit, or low voltage coming into the house.

You need to look at all power outlets that are connected in the system. If your TV is plugged into a different outlet start there. As soon as you plug the video cables in, the grounds from both outlets are connected together.

Kevin, thanks for taking your time. This is really strange what is happening.
I live in a new house, 1.5year old. I confirmed conn., all ok, I have tryed another dvd player and nothing........ no interaption at all.
1st. I thought it was my 2nd hand 1056 as same setup w. different reciever worked. Now 1056 don't like for some reason my oppo player and only on digital conn. RCA to RCA, RL for cd is ok. :>
Maybe time to change dvd player ?

Check the Oppo DVD player setup menu. Most dvd players have options for how the digital audio will be submitted – with compression and/or PCM. I never used an Oppo Player, but if it has these settings for audio, you want to make sure Bitstream is selected not PCM and that no compression option is selected.

begood, thanks. The audio is selected to RAW, there is no compration but there is some downstream settings that not able to turn them off.
Maybe somehow this a good thing! Just after getting 1056/ 1075 combo, I talked my wife into getting 1050 DVD player, :>

Is this normal, RSP-1098 "Clicking"? and Break in period.
                  by eulogytool
I broke down and and bought the 1098 after months of debating and I am very happy.

First question is: What is the normal break in period for a Pre/Amp to reach it's full dynamic potential?

Second question: I have my gear loaded onto one circuit and when my refrigerator...

                  by mikepinkerton
My 4 year old A51 has started intermittently clicking on/off the right-most two blue indicator lights on the front panel. Usually this only happens while watching a movie, I haven't seen (or heard) it during normal TV watching. If I put the same movie into "stereo" mode on my pre/pro, it stops...

My 1098 was working fine when I first bought it. Then a couple of weeks later I bought a RMP-1095 5 channel amp and hooked it up. It worked fine with brief periods of use and then something interesting happened.

When I used it for an extended period of time, my 1098 started making relay...
