    RDV1060 Problem

    Hi
I have recently started to see on some movies, not all, an inch of distorted picture going across the top of my screen. it does not appear whilst my screen is playing from the my stb or pvr, only on the dvd player. has anyone heard of this problem? i tried changing from pal to ntsc in the 1068 menu to no avail.
    thanks

I've seen that when the PROGRESSIVE is not set to ON for that input. That will be in the 1068's menu.

Thanks for the tip Kevin, however i checked the menu and progressive is switched on. Any more thoughts?

Edit: I have solved the problem; it seems that with the occasional movie I need to de-activate P/Scan from the remote on the rdv1060. this removes the squigly lines at the top of the screen. i wonder why some movies cannot play in progressive scan properly.

        progressive on RDV1060
        by sirbogey
My RDV1060 came back from Rotel with an exchanged tray. When I put in a DVD or CD, it takes like 10 secs for the disc to load. This was a matter of 2-3 secs before. What have they done to it?

Another question: I changed the picture to watch a movie in progressive mode. When I do that,...

        Connectingproblem RSP1098 and RDV1060
        by Marcel54
I bought a new DLP TV so I connected my 1060 with component directly to my HD TV set (previously I used SCART). My 1060 is connected to the 1098 with composite for use of the TFT screen. Here's the problem: when I set my 1060 to progressive scan my TFT screen goes haywire (all I see is horizontal disturbance)....

RSP 1098 and progressive scan dvd/dvd audio players
        by Henk
The RSP 1098 TFT screen displays no video unless a usable signal is passed through the composite video connection. However, as pointed out in the RSP 1098 manual not all dvd players, set in progressive mode, output a usable composite video signal. This is true also for dvd players that play dvd audio....

1068: Problem switching between progressive inputs
        by McLovin
        G'day,

I am having an issue with my RSP-1068 and progressive scan inputs.

I have three video input devices hooked up to the 1068: a set-top box, a DVD player, and an Xbox (on V1, V2, and V3 inputs respectively). The 1068 is then connected to my TV (a Sony LCD). All inputs...
