Just purchased a brand new RSX-1056. I checked the firmware version by pressing and hold MUTE. I have v1.2.4-050906. I know the most recent update from the Rotel website is v1.2.2. Does anyone else have the same version? What's the difference?

Several other people have 1.2.4. Since it is not on Rotel's website for existing users it is most likely a maintenance release for newer components.
Usually during a production run some minor change might cause the need for new firmware. These changes are usually for production purposes only, not function or improvements. Hence, no need to release it to the public. If a new update were to come out, expect two files; one for units running up to 1.2.2 and another for units running 1.2.4.
