    Rotel RDV-1040 Question

    Hey guys,

I just purcahsed a used RDV-1040 and I was suprised to fine that the rear panel jacks are not gold plated. Does anyone know if the jacks on any of the 1040's were ever gold plated or was it just on the 1050 or 1060. I could have sworn it was supposed to be plated. Since they are not gold does anyone know what they are? The 1040 has only been produced since 2004 right. My rsx-1055 is gold plated and it is of course older than the rdv-1040. From what I have been able to investigate my unit was purcahsed for the first time in Feb of 2005. Any info on this would be much appreciated.

After some thought, I'm leaving your message in hopes someone knows. I would appreciate if fellow members left this thread as a Q&A one only.

I'm sorry you haven't had a reply quick enough for you, hopefully as more people with a 1040 see your question one of them might have a gold plated one.

    Thanks,

    Kevin D.

      RDV (1040,1050,1060) or RCD1072 + RDV?
      by tboooe
Hi. I mostly listen to music but occasionally watch movies. Since I place more value to listening to music should I get separate CD and DVD players? I have read that some people notice a considerable difference when playing a CD on the RDV and the RCD. If the difference is big then I would be inclined...

      My Review on the RLC-1040.

I just finished hooking up everything to the new RLC-1040 conditioner. The first RLC-1040 i had was Faulty so got it replaced by another one which works perfect so far.

I listened to some music today from my RDV-1040 and it sounded more clear than ever when hooked up to the RLC-1040....

I need some help. Hoping someone has an idea as to what is going on.

I have the RLC-1040 with everything connected to it. 1095, 1068, 1060, & 1055 cd changer + M&K Sub. All units are connected to the appropriate input on the 1040.

I power up the 1040, everything...

      RLC-1040 - Error:Failed!
      by Club1820
So today the mrs & kids were out of the house and I had some time to really crank my system for maybe the 3rd time since I've set it up. So I am "testing" it out to see how really loud it can go. The other couple of times I've only hit maybe 75 on the 1068 volume.

      So...
