Huh.... nice. I wonder why the 8 channel amp, though. Why the extra channel for a 7.1 system?

        Maybe to power a sub???

They looks sweet though. The rounded edges are a nice touch!

It would great if klipchs would buy marantz and mcintosh so there is no more shuffling around with these companies and they can concentrate on quality with d+m on the chopping block again if its true they are being sold.

Yes,but both manufacturers would remain as separate entities onto themselves under a parent company (klipsch) its a lot better then marantz or mcintosh getting adsorbed by a unknown corporate or even known entity which will convert them to low grade consumer appliances like what happened to sansui or other a/v manufacturers.

????? Where's Aragon today? Did Klipsch oversee the release of any new products that were not developed before they swallowed them? What is available today? Now, I am not saying that Mondial was viable when purchased but the brand has not flourished under Klipsch.

I used to work for Philips and indirectly, Marantz. So much of the Marantz operation is still based in the Netherlands and I've heard from a former colleague that Kenwood (via their owners) is a potential buyer. Harman backed out a number of weeks ago, and recently, apparently Best Buy expressed an interest too.

Wouldn't that just be... an AV receiver???
And Japan's release will be in champagne.

No,it would be a pre-amplifier and amplifier combo without tuner.
