    Rotel 1056/1067 rumored specs

    Check out this link:

    It claims:

    1056 75 watts x 5; dolby pro logic IIx - $1,299
    1067 100 watts x 7; dolby pro logic IIx - $2,199

    If this is true, it makes the 1056 plus a 5 channel amp look like a better deal to me.

    Well it's probably not far off as those sound like logical stats etc but I'd wait another few days until CES actually starts to get more solid info.

      IMO the 1055 paired with a 1075 has always being a better buy then the 1065 so this isn't surprising to me

        While I have no reason to doubt this news... It sure seems like Rotel could have come up with better numbering.. I know 1056 and 1067 is quasi in order, but they just seem like odd model numbers to me..

          1056 = 1055 + 1
          1067 = 1065 + 1 (and another + 1 since 1066 is in use already).

          Thats why the 1066 sucessor is the 1068

            The only big additon sounds like Dolby PLIIx.

            Still 5 X75 watts? Dounds like I'll be keeping my 1055 and adding an external amp rather than upgrading.

              Supposedly it has a "bypass" mode for 2-channel audio that was formerly only available in the 1098 processor. How this would be different from the 2-channel mode, I have no idea.

                Case 10 looks so good, Rotel is not ready to ditch it yet. The 1066 successor should've been the RSP-1156, based on the pattern of the RSP-976, RSP-1066...
