    RSP 1066 Power On Problem

    I have 1066/1075 combination with I have been very happy but have developed a power on problem with the 1066. Occasionally (days to weeks) it simply stops responding to the remote - no power on. It even sometimes will not respond to the power switch - switch off followed by switch on and still no power or remote response. I have tried all three power options - same result.

    I would appreciate any suggestions or insights - next stop is Rotel service.

      Have you upgraded the Firmware to the newest version... I think there was something about that for the 1066 (I could be wrong though). But upgrading the firmware never hurts if you don't have the newest.
      Digital Audio makes me Happy.

          I have have and RSP-1066 attached to the RMB-1075 amplifier for about 1 year now. Love the system! However, several times I have come home to find the RSP-1066 powered on, enough times that I cannot attribute it to forgetfullness t turn it off. Has anyone heard of this behaviour...

          I can get the following combinations for the same price:

          (a) RSP-1066 AV pre/pro + RMB-1095 5x200 amp; or
          (b) RSP-1068 AV pre/pro + RMB-1075 5x130w amp

          The ideal combination would be the RSP-1068 + RSP-1095, but that's beyond my budget for...
