Problems updating firware on rsp 1066

anybody had any problems updating firmware w/Windows 2000. I'm done it before w/win 98 and it went smoothly.

with win 2k, when i power on the rsp 1066 nothing happens on the hyperterminal window. with win 98 i remember the text automatically came up that asked me if i wanted to clear memory. Do I need to do something different w/win 2k.

    thanks in advance.

Sorry if you have already checked but..

Did you make sure your terminal settings are correct?
Did you make sure that both DIP's are in the correct position? Down if I remember right.

    Regards,
    Matt

Yep, double checked all terminal settings and DIPs.
First time i tried i forgot to push down the DIPS and something came up on the terminal screen. Looked like a readout of the LED on the RSP.
I cleared everything, started from scratch, this time w/DIPs down, and
      nothing. I'm stumped.

Check and tripple check all your settings are correct but you might also just have to wait a while...it takes about 4 minutes or so in Windows 98 but in any NT based OS (NT,2000 or XP) it takes as long as 30 minutes

It took me about 1 hour under WinXP to upgarde the firmware.
losdaddy I think you should check your cable or your pc com port cause it might be a faulty cable or a faulty com port and double check your HyperTerminal setting.

            by deepinder_gill
I have an issue with the center channel output on my Rotel RSP 1066. I do not hear any sound at all from the center channel. Even the test tones are silent with the center channel. As a matter of fact, the test test is silent on all center channel outputs (C1/C2/CB1/CB2). The center chanel is hooked...

            Hello Rotel owners/users,

I attempted to update the firmware on this unit today
which was originally running ver 1.1.3. Downloaded
the required files (ver 1.2.2), printed out the
instructions and followed them exactly as mentioned.
            The MTTY application is...
