    Help? 1055 connected to HK A402

    Happt New Year!
    I just inherited a HK A402 so that I can play my 1000 or so LP's. I want to use it as a pre amp to my 1055. Its got two phono inputs and two tape inputs which is great . Now its got a pre amp out . Would I use this to hook up to one of the Video inputs on the back of the 1055? Or would I use the tape out to the Video in? I'm just worried I'd blow one of the Inputs.

      Anyways what I did worked. I am now listerning to LP's. The Rotel 1055 converts the analog signal awesomely. I'm sorry but I forgot how good LP's sound. I've never heard a better vesion than The Original Master Recording of Dark Side Of The Moon. Sorry still in awe on how the world, me included, has got Digitalized to music. Anyways thanks and I'm now going to spin some more records.

              thats great!!! i do agree that LP's sound much better, but after a few hundred times of spinning them, they start to wear down. thats the problem i se with them. i know i have listened to dark side 100's of times on CD and it sounds the same every time.

                  i compared a 1050 with a NAD 762 today and really liked the rotel. i am planning on buying the rotel 1055, i hear it is almost identical to the 1050, but i haven't tested the digital inputs yet.

                  Does anyone have experience combining a DirecTiVo satellite receiver with an RSX-1055? Specifically, I am wondering whether the 1055 will gracefully handle switching digital and analog inputs from the same source.

                  I have been told that a DirecTiVo box will output Dolby Digital programming...
