    Need help with house audio system

    I currently have a RSX-1055 receiver that I want to use to drive my Dynaudio audience speaker home theater system(5-1) and also drive three rooms of ceiling speakers.How will I set this up and will I need the Rotel RMB -1066 amp to help? I am new to the whole home audio thing so I am not sure how or what material I will need .I know I will need seperate volume controls for each room,but do they need to be impedence matched ? How will I hook this up ??

    You could do it without an additional amp, but I wouldn't recommend it...

    If you use the 1066 to connect all three pairs to individual amp channels (60w to each speaker) then you only need regular volume controls. Only if you went with a 2 channel amp (X watts to three speakers) you would need impedance matching volume controls (or regular ones with a speaker switcher).

    Either way you basically run the speakers to the volume controls, run the volume controls to the amp(s), then run RCA's from the amp to ZONE 2 out of the 1055. Zone 2 out has it's own source selection and overall volume. Keep in mind that any source you want to hear on Zone 2 requires ANALOG audio connections. So if your DVD is only hooked up with a single digital cable, you will need to run a pair of analog RCA's as well.

      Zone 2

      I run my TST off my fronts now. I just have it split off with Y adaptors and the signal goes to my Audiosource monoblock which I have to turn on or off manually when I want to use it. These amps have either a manual turn on, or auto turn on when a signal is present. I'd like to be able to use the TST...

      1066 Zone @ volume problems. Help
      by badger1
      I am trying to use the volume control for zone 2 of my 1066 processor.
      Here is my question. I currently have a remote transmitter (those little (RCA) pyramids). In my second zone (my garage) I had previously been able to just aim my "previous systems reciever" remote (a Denon 3805)...

      Zone 2 questions
      by pedalmike
      Do any members have any "second zone" experience with your RDC-7? I do not have the optional IR kit for Zone 2, but my second room is very close by and I was hoping I could control Zone 2 volume from the Front Panel of the RDC-7.

      When I hook up my amp and speakers, and select...

      Need help in selecting Rotel equipment

      Please help me select a Rotel system. Here are some pertinent facts: I
      • have 4 ohm Paradigm 9se MkII front speakers; 8 ohm Paradigm Mini MKII for the rear;
      • need Zone 2 for two kitchen speakers (same/different source; don't want to add extra amp for these);
      • need to run...
