    RSP-1098 and HDMI..??

Now that the new HD DVD players are coming out, will Rotel offer a replacement module for the HDMI inputs? I know that a new model is coming out late this year, but is that not why Rotel made the modular back plate? For upgradability??

I dont think Rotel are looking to do any upgrades for the 1098, just replacing it with a newer version some point late this/next year.

Really cannot see why the hell they went modula with it. Such a crock!

That's what I mean......! Why make the back so you can replace modules as they become obsolete....

I like to share some of recent experience with my new 3D TV setup with my current Rotel RSP1098/RMB1095 setup. I am hoping this information is useful for anyone with the same configuration out there that are interested to take the 3D plunge.

I had not been very active in the last couple...

New member, first posting. Have been a outside observer to this forum for a short time and have been gleaning good information -- excellent forum! Long time Rotel fan and hi-fi addict since high school in the late 70's.

I just purchased a RSP-1098 with version 1.1.4 software and decided...

            Modular Audio Source Monoblock Amplifiers

I've been on the search for quite some time for a good amplifier to use for powering tactile transducers. (also called bass shakers) I needed raw power, preferably 250W per channel or more, but didn't need exceptional audio fidelity due to me driving tactile transducers, not efficient audible speakers....

I wanted to share some details of a speaker system I put together for my basement listening room and home theater. I've been reading here and at other speaker building sites for many years but my participation was essentially all vicarious. I followed along and built systems on paper and in my head...
