Something happened to my RSP 1066

I think I might have a problem with my 1066. I run it to a RB 1060 and a RMB 1075 to power my Klipsch RF-7 setup.

I just moved and when I put everything back together and fired it up the volume is greatly reduced, before I could not play much over 75-80 and I'd be hitting over 110 dB, the amps would get nice and warm and I could see my speakers moving. Now I can turn it all the way up to max without distortion and it's very lower in volume, the amps don't heat and when at max I can hear what someone is yelling at me sitting in front of it which was never close to possible before.

When I moved it was cold outside but I had my amps and preamp covered with blankets and I only moved right nextdoor, I didn't drop them either.

Any ideas on what happened? My treb/bass dials are the same, all my settings are the same as far as I can tell, is there something I am missing or must I have damaged my equipment?

Unfortunately, just like like bulbs, most electronics 'burn out' when you turn them on after they've been 'cold' (no power trickling through them). This is probably why 'standby' mode even exists. It's like leaving your car idling. The worst thing you can ever do to a car is to start it when it's cold. Anyway, something inside may simply have 'burned out' and it'll need a trip back to Rotel to diagnose and repair.

Do you think the problem is with the preamp for sure? I thought if the problem was in the amps the whole shot would just not work but I am not sure. Could a problem in my 1066 lower the pre amplified signal so much that the amplified signal would be reduced greatly?

Actually, either component could cause that problem, and the only way to test it (at home) is to substitute a known piece of working equipment. Also, did you check your connections to make sure none of the cables shorted out? This is on both channels? What's the source? If it's CD, try both analog and digital sources. Try putting the DSP into 5-ch stereo and see if the problem is in all 5 channels. That'll help isolate the problem.
