I really don't understand the question. You can preamp a stereo amp with the rsp1068.You can use zone 2 as a 2 channel system with the stereo amp. I don't see where buying more speakers makes any sense. Using the main speakers in your theater, if they are full range can be used for 2 channel. If they are bookshelf design, they still can be used for 2 channel with a sub.
Can you explain your question?- Bottom

Take the R/L main outputs into your'e 2 channel amp, (which you are doing for surround anyway) select "bypass" for mode, which is analog. You must use the R/L rca cables from your'e source, cd, tuner,.........as the analog signal will not be carried on the digital cable.- Bottom

by Kevin PAs I've been reading people's posts on their new pre-pros, I've been researching my eventual move to separates myself. Although I can't afford to upgrade yet, I'd like to be prepared for when I can. Although I've been reading posts on pre-pros, I've come to realize I really should be researching amps...-
