RCD-1070 problem

    RCD-1070 problem

    I turned on my stereo tonight to pop in a new CD. Everything was normal until I took out the CD that was already in the player and put in the new one. After closing the drawer of my RCD-1070 it doesn't display the disc info. It just says 'open' and opens again by itself. I put other CDs in, used the remote and the button on the player and powered down a couple of times.

    Any ideas as to what the problem is, or any possible solutions?

      Have you tried unplugging it for a few minutes?

          I have, Kevin.

          I've tried every possible thing I can think of, including taking the top off.

          I'm not going to cry about it though. I got this thing probably a month before the 1072 was released, so I've always wished I had held out for what seems to be an improved player. I just hope my dealer has a 1072 in stock tomorrow.

              Just a quick thought, try hitting the stop button twice.

                      CD player problem

                      Recently I bought a complete hifi-system and the components are all by Rotel. (rcd1072 - ra1070 - rb1072).

                      I'm very satisfied by my choices but I encountered a problem with my cd player.
                      The music seems to skip whenever I slightly tap against the cabinet in which the cd player...
