    RSP 1066 and 96/24

I am about to purchase a Pioneer DV563A uni player and there seems to be some debate and confusion as to wheather or not it passes a true 96/24 signal thru the digital connection. Does the 1066 indicate if it is receiving such on it's display? :?

I think it does display that on the screen.

Yes it does (I just tried feeding my RSX-1055 with the stereo signal encoded at 96 kHz/24 bits from the SWING LIVE Chesky DVD-A using my HTPC). The display indicates 96KHZ, instead of the customary 48KHZ.
