Can I get bass and Sub together?? RSP-1098

I can't figure out the bass management to get both 100% bass to the fronts plus a strong signal to the sub.

I had to Y the FL & FR so the signal splits to the Velodyne ULD controller.

    Any suggestions.?? Thanks.

Have you tried setting the speakers to Full on the range?

Yes, then the subwoofer doesn't get a strong enough signal to really pump.

Once you set the fronts to large you will also need to set the subwoofer to MAX.

          Thanks Kevin, I tried that.
I think the Velodyne sees the signal from the preamp in a different way. It is an older ULD type that can be run with 2 inputs (from preamp) and 2 outputs (to power amp). I am using the 2 pre ins. I think the LF output from the processor's sub out is too weak. I'll have to experiment some more.

Rotel sub output always on the "low" side

            My experience (RSX-1055, RSX-1067, NAD T763)

When set up for large mains and max sub, the Rotel sub jacks are very quiet compared to the NAD.

Needed a Y-adaptor on each sub and more than twice the sub volume to equal the output of the NAD. Which it really didn't -- at that point.

Of course, if your mains are large and it's 2-channel -- you're not supposed to need a sub.

It's just another thing I'll find out after I win the lottery.
Look for my report (any day now.)
