Fixed level analogue output on 1066?

I want to use my RSP 1066 to drive my Stax headphones "energiser" (don't worry if you don't know what I'm talking about!). What I really want from my 1066 is a fixed level output. I'm aware that this can be had from the tape outs, but my main source (for music, this is) is PC using a digital connection, and the tape out can only produce an output from analogue inputs.

Is there any way I can configure things so that I get a fixed level analogue output from a digital input?

Nope, but you can get a DAC to run off the digital out. Not cheap.

...which is what I do already! I was hoping to cut down on the number of boxes and wires!

        RSP-1068 output level/impedance causing hiss?
        by whoaru99
As mentioned in a previous thread, I purchased a 1068 last weekend and am still in the learning mode...

I've noticed that I need to adjust the 1068 volume control fairly high to get the sound levels I like. The problem is that I seem to get some hiss on the quieter passages if I've selected...

Is it possible too increase the output level.
When i play some music DVDs in 2ch stereo mode, i must turn the volume to MAX and then its still not loud enough.
When i play the same in DTS downmix, its loud at vol level 75/80.

        1066 analog input "leaky"?
        by Wilfred
Noticed last nigh, with CDP going, I switched to other unused inputs (eg: Tuner, Video 5) and can hear music coming out from my speakers (!!!). Volume was about 59, standing right next to speaker, output level was about 85-90dB C weighted at 10ft. I disconnected my analog IC and switched over to Coax...

        Blu-ray LFE output
        by JeremyG
Hello all, long time lurker first time poster. Great forum!
I have a question regarding Blu-ray HD codecs' LFE output level. I have a Sony BDP-S550 hooked up via analog outputs to a Marantz SR7001. The Marantz does not decode HD audio. Standard DTS and DD decoded through the Marantz bitstreamed...
