    RSX 1055: 7.1 AND Zone Two 2-channel?

Can someone confirm/deny the following possibility with the RSX 1055:

Driving 7.1 HT AS WELL AS 2-channel stereo in zone 2?

I am currently auditioning both a NAD T762 and the 1055 in my home, and I'd like to know if the above is at all possible.

    Thanks.

As far as I know you would need a seperate 2-channel amp for 7.1 with the 1055 as it only has 5 powered channels to start and then another 2-channel amp or processor in the second zone. You should be able to run them both however as long as you have the appropriate extra gear. I'm sure someone who actually owns the 1055 can confirm or deny.

      Yes you could...

      a) use a 2ch amp to drive the extra 2 speakers in a 7.1 set up using the pre-out on the RSX (even adding a 2nd sub!!) AND

      b) use another 2ch amp do drive a stereo set-up in another room!...

That is my plan for my future house!!
