When will Rotel move to HDMI/DVI???

When will Rotel ever make DVD player and receivers with HMDI or DVI input/outputs? Nearly every other brand has come up with lines that have these inputs/outputs. NAD just came up with a upscaling DVD player (with HDMI output).

Don't get me wrong, I love my Rotel A/V receiver and DVD player but the picture from my RDV-1060 does not compare at all with my much lower priced Samsung upscaling DVD player (HDMI output). Granted the sound is not as good as that produced by the Rotel but when playing a movie, that is not a huge factor.

I've been use the RDV-1060 as a CD player lately but it seems like a waste. Anyone else with the same gripe.

I would imagine their next lines will probably have them. They usually release new models in spring

I'd be looking for an anouncement at CES in January. Can't remember if it will be a universal player or not, but HDMI is in there. It will go along well with the scaler/video switcher coming out at the end of the year.. It won't be cheap either.. When it's released the 1060 will be 'a good deal'.

CEDIA starts tomorrow, so we might see some new info by Monday.

The next Rotel high-end DVD player will have HDMI, but it won't be universal. Rotel still doesn't want to do SACD.

          HDMI vs. DVI
          by boe
I heard some people say that you can just get an adapter for HDMI cables to make them work with DVI so I give myself a cable more likely to be good for the future. I heard a few people say that the converters can degrade the picture.

Can I get an HDMI to DVI cable to look as good as...

Who wants a new DVD player (RDV1090)?
          by csuzor
Please vote if you would consider purchasing the new DVD player from Rotel (probably RDV1090). Please also indicate what features would be essential for your purchase.

Given the current rumours, it will not have SACD capability.
What else could possibly justify upgrading to this...
Will purchase / upgrade for sure

          Cable? hdmi to dvi
          by june
          Hello All,

Will this cable work for Blu-ray & HD-DVD? Will this give us a true HD picture or a converted one?

I tried to use a hdmi to dvi cable with a comcast cable box. This didn't work, horrible converted picture. We switched back to the dvi to dvi box.

          50ft HDMI cable: which brands?
          by Jeremy77
I am getting a Sanyo PLV-Z3 projector (HDMI input) and I am looking at getting a Oppo Digital OPDV971H dvd player (DVI-D output) and was wondering what brands are recommended for HDMI cables? (the distance from the projector to the dvd player will be about 45ft).
So far the least $ I have found...

Converting DVI to Component or RBGHV
          by Onabudget
I just bought a new DVD player with the HDMI outputs, I bought it cause I could have sworn my RP HDTV had a DVI input. So I got the DVD player and the HDMI to DVI cable to hook it up with, when I got home I realized my TV did not have the correct inputs. However it does have a dedicated RGBHV/Component...
