    RX1050 Remote

Well I suppose this must be yesterday's news to this forum but I am hoping that someone can help me out here...

I have a Rotel RX1050 receiver which I like a lot - smooth, responsive and accurate.

However, a RR939 remote came with it which does not allow me to set things like speaker A/B, treble, and bass. Yes I know tone controls are anathema to the true audiophile but they are quite useful for those early jazz CDs where high treble is way too bright and bass is almost inaudible.

Is there another remote out there that can handle everything that the RX1050 does?

    Many thanks.

After pressing AUD, press the "Shift" button under the bottom cover.
You can than add or subtract bass and treble. Only thing is, it stays on that setting until you change it back, even if you change audio source.

Thanks happydad. I press AUD, then SHIFT, then what? Which buttons increase/decrease bass, and which increase/decrease treble? There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual.

When you hit the Shift button, Treble will appear on the display of the 1055 (NOT the remote). Make your adjustment using the UP/DOWN buttons of the remote, or hit Shift again and "Bass" will appear on the same display. Adjust the same way.

BTW, these instructions are in the Owner's Manual for 1055 (Page 14), but not the manual for the remote.

Actually I have an RX1050 STEREO Receiver, not a 1055. Nothing shows up in the receiver's display when I hit the keys you mention.

RR-1050 Remote - Help and Advice Please!
            by deaconblues
I spent part of the day programming the Rotel RR-1050 and now I'm stuck with a remote that won't give me the on screen display that I was able to view yesterday! I've tried preloading after clearing both AUD and Video 1. I've cleared all of the commands that I've entered. I've even installed new batteries!...

So i have my RSX-1057 all setup. I have my TV sending an audio signal through RCA's to Video 2 on the receiver. I can adjust the volume fine on the receiver itself, however when i hit V2 on the remote the volume buttons don't work on the remote. If I hit V1 or Aud or CD or TUN or TAPE or EXT (quick...

            by JDE
Sorry for not remembering my remote #, but I assume only one model comes w/it..

I used video II to learn my DVD players remote. Now when I press video II, it turns my DVD player on/off instead of changing the receiver to V2..

I never programmed that button for power,...

Catch 22 when programming RR-1050 remote
            by vaci
I have programmed the Video2 page on my RR-1050 to control my freeview box, but I want the volume buttons to control the amplifier (RSP-1068) volume instead. However, I'm a bit stuck, as of course I can only transmit the correct infrared codes for the amp from the other page ("Aud") of the...
