6 channel inputs / outputs on Rotel Processor

Hello All,

I want to add a pre-owned Rotel pre-amp processor in my bedroom. We are using a Yamaha rvx-3000 reciever. This reciever has the 6-channel inputs. Do any older units have 6-channel outputs? If so, we'll use the Yamaha for power only for the speaker. Will this work? We are trying not to buy a amp.
Looking for an older unit with DD & DTS. Like the 1066.

It will work but unless your long term plans include buying an amp I'd suggest just buying a 1055 or 1056 receiver and selling the yamaha.
