        Just buy 3 - 2ch

        or buy a 5 ch and a 2 ch

or find a used 3 channel

        or buy 6 monoblocks...

        All sorts of options!

            Excuse me... never is wrong.

What about the RB-993 3 x 200wpc ? That was 3 channel and bloody good that and the 991 were great for bi-amping left and right and single amping the centre channel

Or the pair for 5.1 I prefered having a 993 and 991 then both in one big box sharing a power supply.

Hunt around for a second hand RB993 Great amp.

Well, NEVER is wrong...but it seems the trend is away from 3 channel amps, not to say they aren't out there. Most manufacturers have gone the route of 1/2/5/7 channels.

I was just kiding guys  Never say Never:

I have RB-1080 in a stereo setup (check my profile) and would probably think of the necessity of having a 3 channel amp for my future HT. However, I can get a 5 channel amp like RMB-1075 and use my RB-1080 to power the fronts for a 7.1 setup. Or could choose to get a RSX-1056 receiver instead for HT and use its preouts with my RB-1080 for the fronts. It is even much cheaper this way, but not sure if the quality of 2 channel music is the same (vs. RMB-1075/RB-1080/RSP-1068 combo).

                    by slilpkid
Have a terrific system running and I love my gear. I have Rotel RSP-1066 pre/pro, RMB 1075 amp, B&W CDM7NT's Front L/R, CDMCNT center, ASWCDM sub, CDM1NT L/R rear on stands. I also have a CD and DVD player. This is the set up I have in the den. We put our old, inexpensive, bookshelf speakers in...

6 or 7 channel Amp recommendations?
                    by Kevin P
As I've been reading people's posts on their new pre-pros, I've been researching my eventual move to separates myself. Although I can't afford to upgrade yet, I'd like to be prepared for when I can. Although I've been reading posts on pre-pros, I've come to realize I really should be researching amps...

                    Recommend a 5 channel amp
                    by Trevor Schell
                    Hi!,

I am looking down the road to add a 5 channel amp to my system. My speakers are the Paradigm Reference Studio's all around with the 100's in the mains postion. I would configure the 5 channel amp in such a way that I would use 2 channels each to bi-amp the mains (Studio 100's/ 350...

2 channel amp to AV receiver?
                    by Herbonbay
Does anyone have any experience connecting a 2 channel amp to an AV receiver? I just recently upgraded my B&W 805s to 804s and feel as if the 804s could benefit from an upgrade in amplification. I've been considering running the 804s ( fronts) from the preouts of my Pioneer Elite 56TXi receiver...
