Question for owners of the RB970BX

    Hi,

I'm trying to help a friend of my (by phone) who is blind. He bought an second hand RB970BX and wants to know how the 4 speaker terminal posts on the rear panel are implemented.
Can somebody tell me, when you are looking at the rear panel, what is the red/black order (I think that the red is the +) from left to right?
When I look at other equipment I see:
    red black red black
    black red black red
    red black black red
    black red red black

    So everything is possible

And what is the stereo position of the mono/stereo switch on the rear panel (looking at the rear panel)?

    Thanks for any help,

    Ray

      Hi Kevin,

Thanks for that link. But I'm not at home, and will not be until next week, and on the public computer (internet cafee) there is no pdf-reader, and I'm not allowed to install one.

So, if there is somebody with this unit at home, or willing to look into the pdf, I would be very pleased.

      Thanks again,

      Ray

        Doh.. Here's the layout:

Switch on left side, switch to left is BRIDGED MONO, switch to right is STEREO

Next the two RCA's, LEFT is to the right and RIGHT is to the left.

Next the speaker terminals: Same as RCA's, LEFT is the right two, RIGHT is the left two. Phase is +R -R -L +L

Bridged mono is far left terminal negative, far right terminal is positive.

Here's a snap of the PDF section..
