    RSX-1055 and pop throu speakers...?

I have a RSX-1055 and since I installed my HT in my new house, there is often (not everytime) a pop in the speakers when I turn it "ON" from Standby mode...?

It was not the case in the other place (before I moved) ??

Is there a miss conection in my set-up?
Do I have a ground issue in this electrical line relay? or on the whole house?

little detail, it's carpet floor (static acumulation from the carpet?), other home was hard wood floor...

Don't know which version you have but you might look into this:

On Rotel's website read the release notes for the software upgrade. The latest update to both V1 and V2 do have a note stating that popping sounds during mode transitions are eliminated.

      Good luck. Keep us posted.

According to Rotel's release notes, version 2.26 addresses this issue.

Also, if it didn't act up in you're old home and now does in you the new place you may be on the right track with the electrical service. If you guys are configured like we are in the states (120-single phase) you could take a meter, set it on vac, and check an outlet in the room. Check ground to hot, should be 120 +/-, check neutral to hot and it should be the same, check neutral to ground and it should be 0 (.2XX or under). Then you could shut the breaker off for that room, put the meter on ohms, check between neutral and ground, and anything around .01 -.03 indicates that circuit is in good shape. From there check and see how the panel is bonded to earth or call an electrician to do so.

Sounds like electrical problem if it was fine in the old place

Is it something I really need to check inside the walls? or a line conditionner will solve the problem?

Line conditioners will supress spikes but not address a bad ground in the source wiring.

I have an older RSX1055 with original version of firmware. Recently hooked up two CB speakers and utilized the redirect feature in the on display menu. Initially the RSX1055 would reset the redirect back to front speakers. I called Rotel and was told to update the firmware. Then I called...

Recently purchased the Philips DVD963SA player to go with my RSX1055 receiver. I run my speakers as small on the receiver and was wondering if I should do the same in the DVD players setup for multi input?

Also I have noticed that when I change from the Co-ax input (receivers decoder),...

I had a chance to audition a Denon 2900 with the Rotel RSX1055. I was very impressed by red-book playback as well as SACD & DVD-A. I realized after returning the 1055 that the Denon had been set to output only 16 bit for DVD-A so when I listened via the coax cable I was not at full resolution. Can...

                    US firmware on European RSX1055

                    Hi!

On the European Rotel website, you have to send an email with the serial number in order to get the update files, whereas on the US website they're available for direct download.

Can I just use the US files, even though my RSX1055 is bought in Europe? Since the European...
