    RB-1080 and RX-1052

I recently added this note to a thread already started but figured i'd get more response from a dedicated thread....

Would it be possible to hook up the rb-1080 to the rx-1052 and run in it in different zones, more than one set of speakers?? I was considering this because i wanted the tuner in the 1052....but i was told it wouldn't work.

I was thinking of having the 1080 run through the 1052 and drive my 2 channel system in my living room and then use the amp in the 1052 to run the speakers on my deck outside...I was told this wouldn't work because i would be able to control the volumne on my 1080, does this make sense?

What i had decided on was the 1080 and the rc1070 pre or the 2 channels and a seperate intergraded NAD amp for my deck speakers... :confused

    RX1052 as preamp with RB1080
    by b&w fan
I just bought a RB-1080 power amplifier (not in yet) which I am going to coupled to a RX1052 receiver that will work as preamplifier. I delayed the purchase of a dedicated preamp just to reduce the pressure on my cash flow. My speakers are a pair of B&W 703.

    Do you think that using...

RB-1080 or RB-1070 power amp to purchase?
    by thyname
Hi guys: As I am thinking more and more to upgrading to separates, I came to a question of whether should I consider a 2 Ch RB 1080 or RB-1070. I initially thought of just purchasing 1070 as it is USD 300 cheaper and I think 130 W per channel is more than enough. However, I know that 200 per channel...

    RB1070 V's RB1080 any diff
    by bleeding ears
    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the difference soundwise between the RB1070 and the RB1080?

At nearly double the price, does the RB1080 sound any better than the RB1070? (RB1080 = $1600 V's RB1070 =$900) Thats recommended full retail prices in Australia.

    RB1080 - I spoke too soon
    by dinnu
Well, I spoke too soon about Rotel fixing my RB1080 for free for the fuse blowing issue (it's not under warranty as I bought it used). They sent me an estimate for about $100 to get it fixed (and I already paid $50 to ship it to them). He insists that there is nothing wrong with the amp and I will...
