    New Contest!

Thanks to a very generous Rotel staff member I've obtained a really nice polo shirt with an embroidered Rotel logo to give away to a lucky Club Rotel member! I'll be drawing a random name from the emails I get that have the correct answer to the question below and have posted in this thread.

Now here's all you need to do to enter...

    1) post a reply in this thread telling us your favorite Rotel product and why you like it so much? Or if you don't own a Rotel product yet :nono: please tell us which Rotel product you'd like to own
    2) email me here with the weight of the RDV-1040 DVD player and your HTGuide user name. (hint the answer to this answer is on the the Rotel website under products):W Please note that only one entry per member please and I'll let the contest run until May 15th 2005

    Have fun and good luck!

    Thanks Rotel and Andrew!

I love my 1098 because it is so simple to use, and allows me a lot of set-up flexibility :T Additionally most people are wowed with the TFT display, as I still am.

Then there is the quality of sound :T

I Love my RDV-1060 as im able to make DD and DTS files and burn them to DVD
and my RDV-1060 plays them like MP3.
I love my brand new 1098 as the sound improvements over my 1066 are very
      nice.

        RMB 1075.
In my opinion, the best 5 channel amp made when comparing power/performance vs. price.

Basically a great performing HT amp for those of us who can't blow a ton of cash on equipment.

Easy for me .. the 1098. That display is too cool!

Couple that with the 1095 and you got a home theater!

The ease of use and appealing looks of the RC-1070 & RB-1070 makes me want more Rotel products. Even my wife can operate, when I let her touch it.

The best item as has to be the RMB-1095 amp. I upgraded from the little brother 1075, and can only say that it was well worth the upgrade. The extra power that the amp provides gives my speakers the extra bit to shine like diamonds.

I love my 1098 because of the TFT display. Since I have it mounted low, my dog can lay on the floor and watch TV all day long. :W

The Rotel RCD 1070 CD player is my favorite product because:

                      1. It was the first piece of Rotel equipment in my rack.
                      2. It showed me that High-End sound can be obtained at a reasonably affordable price.
                      3. It started my entire upgrade to Rotel products.
                      4. It has provided me with 100’s of hours of enjoyment, happiness, and the whole range of emotions that result from listening to good music on a quality system. :sn

Q: Why must Rotel be my favorite company?
A: Because I really want this shirt!!

                      Cracking!

I love my RMB 1075. It is a huge upgrade from the amplifier in my old reciever and it did not cost me a small fortune. You also gotta love those decorative heat sinks on the front panel. AWESOME!!!

Easy - I love my rb 1080 amp the most out of all my gear because it makes all my gear sound better. I love the 1056 also, but after the addition of the 1080 I can say I'm thrilled with the sound of my system. I had no buyers remorse after this purchase just a grin from ear to ear.

It has the guts of an RT-1080, the brains of an RSP-1068 and the spirit of an RMB-1075.

My fav Rotel product that I own is probably my RB-990BX, because it was the first piece of Rotel equipment that I owned and it was my first true piece of high quality audio equipment. It opened my eyes (or should I say ears) to the world of high(er) fidelity. My 1056 is a close second.

Tough choice choosing between the 1080 / 1075 / 1068 - so would have to say its the way the three combine is the best thing for me ... each unit is great in its own right - but the net result is far greater than the mere sum of these individual components.

For me it would have to be the RSP-1098 (though it needs to be coupled with the RMB-1095/1075) is the best piece of equipment. I never thought at this price point I could receive such amazing quality to both music and HT listening. The clarity, dynamics, eveloping sound, and way these two pieces image both in 2ch and 7.1ch sound, is by far leaps and bounds above anything else I have demoed before (in this price range and well above). It only took one single time listening and I knew that was the setup I had to have which no other gear did the same thing. Plus the style of the gear…just says, classy and sophisticated. Everyone is in awe when they see the gear and wants to know where they can get it as well, that’s a great feeling!

That’s why I choose these two (1098/1095) pieces for complete audio nirvana.
                                                Digital Audio makes me Happy.

The fancy receiver is great and all, but when I added the RB1080 it became my favorite.

My favorite Rotel piece is my RSX 1055 . It has an incredible sound, a really symetric front and a very stylish design which is although easy to use.

I love my RSP-1066, which I think is tremendously underrated. It's versatile, easy to use and provides a great soundstage for both music and home theater. It has also turned my wife, son and 15-year-old daughter into very discriminating enthusiasts who now won't settle for anything less.

I appreciate the detail and the dynamics of it (lets say that with this player, loud is loud and subtle is subtle..). It only plays CD's, but for the price (and the fact that I don't have any DVD-A or SACD's yet) it is a real bargain.

BTW, I didn't buy the RA-1062 integrated amp, but it could cost 50% more and still be a bargain!

My favorite piece of Rotel gear....is my only piece of Rotel gear...the RMB 1095 sitting upstairs in my rack. Its been a long road and we're still getting acquainted, just picked it up yesterday. To make a long story short, bought a 1075 a month ago, with the 30 day trade up option. On day 29, I broke down and told the dealer to get me a 1095. Wow....what a piece of electronic equipment! Totally awesome multichannel. But as far as first impressions, I think the 1075 had more bass "slam" in 2 channel stereo. Don't know why that would be...only have about 8 hours on the 1095. Maybe it hasn't opened up yet. My hats off to Rotel for both the 1075 and 1095. Definitely two of the best amps for the money on the market. From the 1095 owners manual..."In fact, the limiting factor in the RMB-1095's output levels will often be the capacity of your homes electrical supply." I love that! :T
