How would you compare marantz to the rotel in regards to the dvd audio and two channel?Originally posted by martinoI recently traded in my Rotel 1060 for a Marantz DV9500, as i was very dissapointed in the software available..the 1060 was great at CD and DVD-A...but the selection of SACD is so much better.
I agree that at this point Rotel won't release a SACD player.
I also firmly believe SACD will be around for a good while (certainly longer than DVD-A) as it is going to be 3-5 yrs befor this HD-DVD / Blu-ray crap is finalized and there is any decent software availabe.

hehe, it's time to ask the question again, after the summer break, just before the announcements of new component releases in September. Wishful-thinking? It seems that most hifi companies have at least 1 sacd compatible player, except a few who have financial interests in promoting dvd-a rather than sacd (sony, meridian, etc)...
So come on Rotel, do it!- Bottom

Hehe, anyone heard this rumour, or any other info to confirm it?
Rotel Europe - RE: Rotel SACD Player - October 13, 2005
"Rotel have tentative plans to introduce a player with SACD capability to the range; no promises. This is likely to be next year but unfortunately, specifications and release dates are not known."
I now have a dedicated CD/SACD from Sony, which is much better than the Denon I used, but a nice Rotel SACD player (must be multichannel) would be welcome!- Bottom

NAD, Arcam, Cambridge Audio, Harman/Kardon... are manufacturing SACD compatible players now. There are over 3800 SACD titles. "It is proving a slow-burn introduction but we have great expectations of SA-CD’s growth in 2006."
Is Rotel prejudiced against Super Audio CD?- Bottom

by foethAfter NAD and Cambridge Audio is Arcam finally going 'to the dark side' and is going to release a SACD player. I wonder how long it will take before Rotel will issue one as well (and realise they just released their RDV-1092 a bit early?).
