Hi all,
I have been the proud owner of a new RSP 1068 for the past week now. To my dismay I got home from camping on the weekend to find no sound coming out of the processor!
My better half told me there was some crackling in the rear channels (not loud) on the weekend and then there was no sound. I have since done some tests and found:
- No sound when using any input other than multi-channel
The unit works, turns on and appears to be decoding the input correctly. I.e I switch digital TV stations and the decoding changes. It's just not passing sound out of its pre-outs.
It switches video, turns on and off (doesn't 'lock up'). The OSD works. I just can't get sound out of the pre-outs - even the test tones do not work. The one exception is when I hook up some analog inputs to the multi-channel input and select 'bypass' it will work. No other analog input works.
Any ideas guys before I take it back for a warranty claim?
Cheers
Rod
