2-channel problem - left channel is dead :(

I have the RSX 1055 receiver with the main front speakers powered by an RMB 1075 power amp. I just finished my turntable set up (though I need to make more adjustements) and tried playing a record. I have the turntable phono stage connected to the multi-input connectors on the back of my 1055. The right speaker was fine, but the left speaker had no sound at all. I thought there might be something wrong with my turntable set up, but when I switched to my CD player (RCD-1072) with 2 channel sound....still nothing from the left speaker.

I checked all cable connections, everything was fine. So I then switched out of 2-channel to Dolby, DTS, etc. - great sound from all speakers. What is wrong with my 2 channel set up? What could have caused this problem (I swear it was working the last time I used it with my CD player!)

Anyone?? It can't be a fuse or cable or connector problem since all channels work when any of the other modes are selected - right??

Here I am talking to myself again.. :P

Problem fixed Friday evening after I checked the test tones for each speaker. I had the cables from the pre-amp connections on the receiver to the amplifier hooked up wrong. ops:

I am adding a Teres turntable to my system - I have been out of the vinyl world for over 20 years but never could stand to get rid of my record collection. Now I'm ready to get back into the world of analog again.
I have a phono stage (Holfi Battriaa Signature) already, I'm still putting...

            Turntable Left Channel Out
            by BWLover
Hello everyone. I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon w/2M Red cart. My left channel is nothing but hum. I tried moving the ground cable from the pre amp to the power conditioners main ground. Tried using the turntable without the ground cable. Tried re balancing the tone arm. Looked at all the connections...

Parasound Halo A51 5th Channel Problem.
            by mitch57
Well it looks like my Halo A51 Amp's 5th channel is on it's way out. I started noticing the the 5th channel, which is the surround right channel, didn't seem to have much of a signal. I first noticed it while listening to DVD-A and multi channel SACDs. It just didn't seem like I was hearing much...

I bought an Adcom GFA-545 about a month or so ago and have been using it to power my 100 Watt DVC 12" Realistic Ported Sub. I bought the amp for a Sonosub project that has been put on hold until my 12" Shiva shows up.

Yesterday, 2 Aura Bass Shakers showed up and I finally got...

I am using an Onkyo receiver to power my 5.0 system. I am not using the .1 channel because I have 4 powered subs... one on each front and one on each surround. I also have a TST in my couch which I am running full range off the front left and right preouts of the Onkyo. My problem: when I hook up the...
