DUH! I can't figure out the remote...

    Help!

I can't seem to get my 1050? remote for the 1066 to work.

Trying to switch video inputs i.e. video 1, 2, 3, ect. to listen to different sources; one is set for DVD another for TV another for SACD etc.

I have engaged the preload button, but I still can't get the sucker to work.

    What am I doing wrong??

I'm not sure about the 1050, but on the 969, the input selection buttons are hidden beneath a sliding panel, as opposed to the ones on top and which seem to be the logical ones to push. But the ones on top are for switching the remote's functioning mode. On the 969, "Aud" has to be pressed first, followed by the input button, in order to switch inputs.

No, with the newer one, you have to press and hold the button and it will switch to the other input. Press just once on, let's say "CD", and it will tell the remote to use the programmed keys for the CD player, and press and hold the CD button, and it will switch les say from "Tuner" to "CD"...

read the little manual, it's quite simple after that, and they suggest that you use the second page (see manual) before making any change to the pre-program, that way you could just switch back to the page 1 if need be...

My remote for the 1098 came and it was dead as well. I needed to press and hold the preload button to get it working

              Freak (or anyone who knows)

I just got my 1066 last week and tried holding the input buttons as you suggest - nothin'. I still have to open the cover on the 969 to change the input signal.

You mentioned newer remotes. Maybe mine had been sitting around a while, but I was wondering if I'm missing something.

              Thanks

Only the new 1050 remote has this feature. New remote, but depending on stock, not not always in all new 1066s.

Just my luck. Is it also a 969 or another model number?

It's the '1050' model remote that replaces the 969..

A while back there was a thread with pictures of the RR-1050. How do I find that thread? I do a search, and it only shows the individual posts - not the entire thread. :?: Thanks.
