I saw one on Ebay.com.au a week or so ago and just a few days ago there was an RSP-985. If you keep a close eye out sometimes one comes up.

I have the RSP-976 which I am about to sell if interested.

The RSP-976 would be a good option if you don't have a need for a 7.1 surround setup or Prologic II, The RSP-985 is pretty out dated though. I assume you should be able to buy an RSP-1066 in as new condition for around $800 to $1000 AUS (I paid $1000 AUS for one new) and the older RSP-976 should sell between $500 to $700. You should PM Jeff and see if he is interested in your older RSP-976 at a good price.
Bits of HT & 2ch Stuff: Rotel, Pro-ject, Oppo, Bel Canto, Elektra Audio, Benchmark, Panasonic, DSPeaker, Epson, Slim Devices, Belkin, Philips Pronto, Harmony, URC, Sennheisser, AKG, HTPC under development, KEF, Whatmough, Definitive Technology & Pardigm Signiture speakers

Yes the RSP-976 is a great piece of kit and I have been very happy with it, but I am wanting the 7.1 option and want to upgrade to either the RSP-1068 or the RSP-1098. Thus the need to sell the RSP-976.

BTW the RSP-985 is quite old, but surprisingly the one on Ebay sold for more than AUD$1k.

Call Stereo Supplies at the Gold Coast (ask for Peter). Around a year ago I asked them about getting a silver RSP-1066, and they had one shipped up from Melbourne. I paid $1000 for the 1066, but upgraded a week later to the RSP-1068. I think the RSP-1066 may still be there. They'll ship it to you (or the local Rotel dealer) if available.

                by htmad
I am new to the Rotel world, I have recently bought a RSP985, accompanied by what in my opinion is a very poor manual. Everything is still to be connected together (I am waiting for a HT room to be made available), so I didn't go yet through the ultimate step: try and hear...

                RSP976 ... upgrade to ?
                by chachi
Greetings, current rack is as follows:

                rsp976
                rt955
                rcd955
                rb971mk2 fr
                rb971mk2 fl
                rb956ax c/lr/rr

tempted to upgrade the RSP976 first off, and then consider retiring the 956 as well. What's pricing like for secondhand RSPs these days?...

                Hey all,

I have a Rotel RSP976, have had it for about 10 years, worked OK until last week, and this weekend wound't turn on. I have 0 technical knowledge about electronics, Rotel guys said they may not have parts even if I sent it in, but they will look at it for free. Some used units...

Rotel RCD 1072 prices in AUS
                by kudeta
For the Aussie contingent that frequent this forum, has anyone seen a better price than $770AUD for an RCD 1072? Also what would the going rate be for a 1075 amp?
And for those of you that helped me with my earlier questions on my RSX1055 thanx.

                Hey everyone,

I'm looking at getting some new speakers for my system (basically entirely for music, which as a 25 y/o is mostly rock, rap and jazz). System will be:

Source: Benchmark DAC1 (fed from optical on juli@ pc card)
                Amplifier: RB-1080

                I also...
