    RSP976 ... upgrade to ?

    Greetings, current rack is as follows:

    rsp976
    rt955
    rcd955
    rb971mk2 fr
    rb971mk2 fl
    rb956ax c/lr/rr

    tempted to upgrade the RSP976 first off, and then consider retiring the 956 as well. What's pricing like for secondhand RSPs these days? All I see are amps these days it would seem

      This really depends on your budget and taste. If you sticking with Rotel the RSP-1066 can be had for around $1000.00 U.S. Just be sure to check the serial number and contact Rotel with that information, they can ensure you're getting the lastest 1066 with the 200Mhz video card. Also check the firmware version with the buyer.

          On the rb976 one can link the inputs to all 3 stereo channels via a switch, yet on the rb956ax there is not that ability. If one were to make a 3 headed "Y" cable and plug the preamp out into all 3 channels on the rb956 - would that not act the same as the "switch"? Except opening...
