    RDV1050 Vs RDV 1060

    Folks,

    I've decided to get hold of a new DVD player that can do DVD-Audio and Video well. I'm shooting for the RDV-1050. Has anybody got any opinions as to why I would go for the 1060 instead:- what is the principle difference between both as regards audio and video performance? I'm just looking to confirm that I'm not missing out on a notable improvement for some extra cash ....

    BTW any news on new Rotel DVD players coming out?

      The 1050 does not have HDCD, where as the 1060 does.

          That about HDCD isnt totaly true...
          The thing is that 1050 cant stream a "raw" digital HDCD-signal to a HDCD-decoder, wich 1060 can (and all other players ive tried too)
          None of them have a built-in HDCD-decoder.

          I have had both 1050 and 1060 (still have 1060)
          These two players are similar regardning video and audio performance, but 1060 got a few more things i dont wanna be without, seperate 2ch output, 12v trigger, more advanced konfiguration menu, and of course, the ability so send "raw" HDCD-signal to the prepro.
