    Finally pulled the plug! Thanks.

    I've posted a few lately in my quest for a new receiver and got great info from folks here. Thanks. (I started the NAD 762/Rotel 1065/Pioneer thread on AVS Forum and that gave me a lot as well.)

    And just when I though it was the 1065, my dealer gave me a very generous offer on the 1066/1075 combo. So, yes, Andrew, I went with your #1 recommendation.

    I'm only in the middle of trying to get these babies going, but so far, very good. Even making my own cable and upgrading the firmware was a breeze.

    I'm sure I'll be around as I explore the Rotel world. So I just wanted to express in advance my appreciation to everyone for sharing your knowledge and experience.

          Since you went with the 1066, it will be that much easier to upgrade to the 1098 in a few months..

                          Like the RSP-1066/RSX-1055 the RSX-1065 also has some point that need to be enhanced or fixed.

                          The RSX-1065 has some flaws in decoding the sound format.
                          1) There seemes to be no difference in normal DD5.1 and DD5.1 EX sound. With both formats the RSX-1065 uses the CB speakers....

                          I am seriously considering the purchase of a Rotel 1065 receiver, and have been reviewing the posts on this forum. I note that there is a lot of info on the 1066+Amp, and 1055, but relatively little on the 1065. I will be using it with B&W N804, N805, and HTM2.

                          How in the world can this happen. I leave for work at about 7:30 am and leave the plasma and 1065 on so my wife can watch tv during the day. Long story, but I havent got the ir system working yet, so I cant teach her to turn everything on and off yet.

                          So anyway, I come home from work...
