    Upgrade ..HK 520 to 1066...

    Hey guys...Ive been thinking about a major upgrade,would like some opinions on it.My current system is a Harmon Kardon AVR 520,with a Rotel
    1070 amp for the front channels,a Rava sub,and Mordaunt Short MS908 front speakers.I'm looking at getting a 1066 HT processor and the Rotwl 120w 5 channel amp.Seeing how this will run $2500+,will it be that much better??The 1070 amp made a big difference,but not sure how much it would be with the Rotel processor and better rear channel amps.Or should I just hold off a while and go for a 1098?

      Yes I'd say the 1066/1075 combo would be a big step up from the HK520. I noticed a large gain in clarity when I went from the HK PA5800 amp to the Rotel 1075.

          I am strongly considering Rotel for my new HT setup due to the numerous positive reviews I read about it. Currently, my plan is to run Paradigm Studio 60 fronts, Studio CC and Studio ADP surrounds using either a Rotel 1066 + 1075 set-up or a 1055 set-up in a 25’ x 20’ room.

          I just purchased a RSX-1065 to replace my Yamaha HTR-5280. When I watch our local HD CBS station using my Zenith HD-520 the audio is very poor. I did not have this problem with my Yamaha and I could not duplicate it on any other stations (OTA or Directv) that I tried. Has anybody else had this problem...
