    RSX1056 design flaw

Evidently the OSD menu system does not work without a video source hooked up. My RDV1060 is in service so it will be a couple weeks before I can access it.

Let me know if I am missing something.

    Thanks,
    Rob

    Rob,

I have a fairly new 1056, bought with firmware at 1.19. I have no video source hooked up to it, only a composite cable from receiver to monitor, and the OSD works fine. A veteran can probably tell you for sure, but I have a vague recollection that your problem was fixed with a firmware update in the past. Not sure.

      progressive on RDV1060
      by sirbogey
My RDV1060 came back from Rotel with an exchanged tray. When I put in a DVD or CD, it takes like 10 secs for the disc to load. This was a matter of 2-3 secs before. What have they done to it?

Another question: I changed the picture to watch a movie in progressive mode. When I do that,...

I am running component video to my projector (Dish Network and Xbox) and a HDMI cable from the OPPO BDP-83 to the projector. I have an S-video cable routed in the wall between the RSP-1066 and the projector but have never used it.

Here's a quote from the Rotel manual that has kept me...

Key Sequence for OSD menus on 1056?
      by fvoelling
      Hi,

I just got a 1056 and have it hooked up via component to a front projector. Video inputs are component (from DVD and X-box) as well. When I press "Menu", nothing happens (on the screen), and it says in the manual that you need to tell the 1056 if you are using progressive...

Hello, hope some of you might be able to help me. I am attempting to set up my RSX1055. I finaly have everything hooked up, but I can't get the OSD on the remote to work.

The remote that came with the 1055 is the RR1050. All the other functions seem to work fine.

      I have...

So, I just got a 1068 today, and I have it hooked up to the component imputs of my TV (from the 1068s monitor out). If i turn the unit on, I see the boot screen, I can see the volume up/down or if I change any of the inputs, but I can't seem to get the OSD to turn on!
