    Bypassing internal amps on RSX-1056

Hey guys I have a question for ya...! I'm running the RSX-1056 and had a party recently where one of my buddies brought a PA system...an outdoor party I should add. He had some RCA or XLR inputs on his system and of course the RSX-1056 has the RCA pre-outs which I utilized to feed into his board and use his amp...so my question is how do I turn off my internal FL and FR amps so I'm not rocking the house with my main speakers while we party outside?

I'm also planning on adding the RB-1080 soon...so what are you guys doing with the internal amps on the 1056? I know they can be redirected to zone 2 and I'll do that eventually...but is it ok to use the pre-outs without speakers attached (therefore providing an infinite ohm load impedance to the internal amps)? I've read the manual and have been lurking here for a while but I'm still not clear on this. Thanks in advance for your advice... Ags

Yes if you're using an external amp you don't have to worry about turning off the internal amps...they'll be fine sitting idle. For your party situation I'd connect the PA amp to the zone two pre outs if you don't want it also playing in your main zone.

Two days with mynew rsx-1055 and I have several questions. I do need a second amp to power my zone 2. I would like more power on the main channels. Since I have to purchase a second amp for zone 2 and since I got such a great deal on the 1055 (3 months old - traded to my dealer) I was wondering why...

        Hi there.

I have a Rotel 1075 5-CH amp connected to Zone 2 and 3 analog outputs of the RSP 1570 to power zones throughout my home. I'm using a 1077 for my main listening room.

:P This is my first post so thank you for your patience.

I have decided to go forward with adding 5.1 to my main system and have pulled together all my equipment with an idea. I have an uncompromised 2 channel setup and am going to use my Denon 3805 and dvd-2910 taken from the other...

        RSX 1067 Zone 2 & speaker cross-over settings
        by Robo1067
        Greetings once again.
I have just been wondering about the signal being sent to my 'zone 2' speakers.

Currently I am using a separate power amp for the 7 channels in the lounge theater and have the speakers set to small and the cross-overs set at say 80hz. I am obviously using...
