    RSX 1067 Zone 2 & speaker cross-over settings

    Greetings once again.
I have just been wondering about the signal being sent to my 'zone 2' speakers.

Currently I am using a separate power amp for the 7 channels in the lounge theater and have the speakers set to small and the cross-overs set at say 80hz. I am obviously using a powered sub-woofer as well. :B
I believe that these settings are passed on through the pre-outs to the power amp.

How-ever I have the 1067 main speakers assigned as internally powered zone 2 speakers. (ie the 1067 internal main speaker amps drive them.)

So, how does the cross-over setting affect these zone 2 speakers, are they getting the full range signal or are they getting the altered cross-over settings and only getting above the 80Hz?

I could find no reference to this in the manual.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob.

Zone 2 is full range from the analog inputs. No crossovers or digital conversion at all.

        Hello,
I am new to this forum. I am an audiophile with some restrictions to my location - I live in Brooklyn so space is limited, hence the need for smaller Quad Bookshelf speakers and the need to use a Sunfire Subwoofer even though I normally never use Subs. That being said here's where things...

        Hello All,

I haven't been very happy with the sound from my setup, so as a last ditch effort (because I just didn't want to believe the problem is my 1067), I tried connecting a 500 Euro Yamaha receiver and, rather unfortnately, it sounded considerably better than my considerably more...

RSX-1067 Zone Channels as Sub Amp for Gallo Ref3's?
        by methril
I'm having a tough time finding a quality crossover to filter the full range line-level signal from my receiver's pre-outs prior to running them through a separate 2-channel amp (NAD C370) to power the 2nd set of subwoofer voice coils on my Gallo Reference 3's. Guess I'll just have to wait for the Gallo...

        Subwoofer settings with RSX-1067
        by gstellenberg
Stumbled across this forum a couple of weeks ago after upgrading from a Denon 3802 to an RSX-1067. Thanks for creating such a fabulous resource on Rotel equipment. I've read through many of the past threads concerning the 1067 and subs but still have some questions.

        I have the RSX-1067,...
