    RSP-1098 Multi Input

Ok I look everywhere for this issue and I could not find any info on this.
I just bought the RSP-1098 and RDV-1050. Sorry if this is a stupid question on hooking up the DVD-Audio portion ops: on the DVD you have Front left and right. Center, Sub and Rear Left and Right. Well on the RSP-1098 there is also connections for Center Back Left and right. Sorry once again what the hell hooks up there to the Center backs????
I'm running 7.1 RB-1070 on the front CM6's and running RMB-1075 on center back surround and rear surround. This leaves me a bit stumped. 8O I'd like to figure out the cables and hookup before they get here, any help would be of great help from you guys..... :T

    Thanks in advance

Nothing.. It's there for any future 7.1 multi-channel outputs that are only supported through analog outputs.

That said, someone here put an RCA splitter on the rear outputs of their DVD player and ran the left rear output to the center and back left and the same for the right. Had pretty good results if I remember..

Just hook it up via the digital connection. Fibre or coxial is good.

Digital coax/optical is a no go for DVD-A/SACD due to studio copyright paranoia and idiocy.

Just leave the back center inputs unhooked, or use Y-splitters and hook the surrounds into the surround backs as well.

Nope, haven't done this (yet). I had a 6.1 setup w/only 2 channel SACD but lost it in a fire. I'll be going 7.1 w/Rotel stuff and a universal player next time around.

              6.1/7.1 setup and Preamp Outputs
              by stinems
I'm looking at pulling the trigger on an H&K receiver and using it as a preamp/proc, feeding the preamp outputs to a separate multichannel amp. The main reason for this is that I want to be able to comfortably drive a 4 ohm load, which is lower than most mid-fi receiver's published capabilities....

              RSX-1055 6.1/7.1 Downmix to 5.1?
              by gchow
I can't disable the rear center channel in the menu system (only options I have are 1 speaker or 2 speaker), so I'm wondering...does the receiver automatically downmix a 6.1 or 7.1 DTS ES/DD EX soundtrack to 5.1 if there is no amp connected to the rear center outputs or if the fronts were not redir...

who has heard the new HTM center channels?
              by tmt
              no! upgraditis has struck!
My shiny new 802s (old model, I'm not that rich!) are only one day in use and I'm already thinking about replacing my current center speaker.
              While it's not a bad speaker (It's an LCR6) putting a HTM1 or a new HTM3S will improve a lot. And the LCR6 could be re-used...
