Hi-Fi Choice had a group test this month of integrated amps (£500-1700), including the RA-1062 (£595) - all in all they liked it a lot.
Some quotes
'Nevertheless as part of its evolution from the RA-1060, exhaustive listening tests have apparently resulted in some 60-odd passive components being changed, including key decoupling capacitors. The circuit configuration however remains unchanged.'
'All the amps were adjusted to a matched output level and yet the Rotel sounded biggest and loudest on the day.'
'Pat Metheny's DVD-A simply exploded into space, the strings swelling to fill the room with a gloriously rich and entertaining sound punctuated by the sparkle of percussion.'
'The bass is very deep and powerful, the top end sweet with realistic detail....'
'Criticisms? Just this, that while the Dvorak symphony sounded very colourful there was a suggestion that "some instruments have been goen round with a highlighter". Otherwise alongside's Exposure's impressive 3010, this superb overall result turned out to be the apex of the day's listening.'
'..... all this and more, but at a price that represents a slap in the face to its competition.'
The listening panel included representatives from Pioneer, Hayden Labs (Denon UK for those that don't know), Harman International and Exposure Electronics. I bet the Exposure rep went away smiling, not sure about the others

What HiFi also reviewed the RCD-1072 last month and they were very impressed with it, but didn't think it quite matched the class leaders. I can't find my copy to give more details, think I must have binned it.
Hope this is of some interest.
