    what preamp

    im after an older preamp maybe a rc-870 or rc-970 or 970bx11
    anyone herd any of these and know what they are like as i cant find any reviews on the web
    let me know your thoughts cheers

      I have second-hand RTC-970 in my second system (pre/pro with tuner built in) and it sounds good to me matched with RB-850 amp. It has some nice features, including a second zone capability (which is why I bought it) I'm not sure if there are any differences in the pre/pro section between the RTC and the RC. Note that the volume control on RTC is a little quirky (an up/down toggle-type device rather than a knob), and the remote control is notorious for being finicky and unreliable.

          RTC 950AX Tuner Preamp Question

          I have an RTC 950 AX Tuner Preamp (legacy Rotel). Recently I tried to access an AM station 1620. The AM section on my unit only goes up to 1600. Is this true for all of these units? Or is there an issue with my unit. Any comments are greatly appreciated.
