    RC-1090 vs RSP-1068

    G'day,

    I can pick up a RC-1090 stereo pre-amp for about half price. How would this compare to the analog bypass mode of my RSP-1068 pre-processor? Is there a substantial difference in sound quality?

      Just a guess but I would bet no audible difference. If you allready have the 1068 I would think the 1090 to be a waste of money.

          The RC-1090 will sound a lot better in pure stereo mode with good equipment... Try it and see. :T

              I just picked up a RC1090 from Audiogon, the unit is in excellent condition and sounds very nice. I had an RC1070 before which always seemed a bit bright to me, the RC1090 is very smooth.

              Anyway the one small downer on the deal is that the seller failed to mention...
