I keep my 1065 on stand by mode when the system is off. I notice the reciever still stays warm ( not hot as when its in use). Is it a good thing to completly shut it down after beign used? By leaving it on standby will the life be shortened? I use the system about 5 - 6 times a week usually at night when I get home. Should the reciver be truned off when its not in use? Will sound quality be different if the 1065 is left off than turned on? I know amps need to warm up first before sounding good. any input is appreciated. Thanks!

by MaddQuestion, A friend of mine is looking for a stand alone receiver. He has it narrowed down to the Rotel RSX 1065 and Yami's flagship RXZ1. The Rotel is about $200 cheaper. I tell him Rotel without a doubt, but he asked me to get some opinions from others. He does not use it for Music just HT. He is running...-

by spaceyAll,
I am seriously considering the purchase of a Rotel 1065 receiver, and have been reviewing the posts on this forum. I note that there is a lot of info on the 1066+Amp, and 1055, but relatively little on the 1065. I will be using it with B&W N804, N805, and HTM2.

by ejfiiiHow in the world can this happen. I leave for work at about 7:30 am and leave the plasma and 1065 on so my wife can watch tv during the day. Long story, but I havent got the ir system working yet, so I cant teach her to turn everything on and off yet.
So anyway, I come home from work...-

by ejfiiiHi, sorry for the noobie post, I tried to search and came up dry.
I just bought a 1065 to form the backbone of my new and first HT. I have an older Acurus A250 2 channel amp that I intended to use for the two front main speakers, thus freeing up the 5 1065 internal channels for the center...-
