I also posted this under the Audio hideout. Currently i'm using a monster mphts3600 filter. wondering if i should upgrade to the panamax piece which has ac regenaration.

For the spec I would say it's about a lateral switch or a minor upgrade. As you already have a Mon$ter unit, pursue another level of surge protector/line conditioner would be more beneficial. Think about RG or/and zerosurge perhaps?

RG does have decent line conditioning technology and zerosurge has outstanding surge routing advancement(they aren't really surge surpressor like other brands anymore but a different way of routing the surge).

Almost(!) a lateral move but the 5510 incorporates a low-voltage sensor and shut-off which the Monster lacks. In cases of brown-out and/or intermittant outages, the 5510 will disconnect your equipment from the line and prevent the flipping between on/off which can damage equipment. I used this model for about a year and it did function reliably as described and, for that, I am grateful. Went to an APC S-15 from there to get, among other things, a UPS capability.
