    rdv 850 is not responding on dvd or svcd

    I have trouble with my dvd player it is not responding on my dvd svcd dvd-r this has started after i moved it from one corner too another. So it cant be broken. :evil: And it is showing wrong region.

    I have found out that when you turn the power of and then pushed play and pause together and put the power AC on test will be shown. I havent gone any further.

      Check you model again. I do not believe that there was ever a RDV-850 from Rotel.

              You need to do a reset on the RDV-985 to put the region code back to region 1. It is a simple procedure with front panel buttons but I can not remember it off the top of my head. You may want to call your dealer and see if they have it, if they do not then I am sure that they could contact Rotel tech support and get the procedure for you.

                  My first post BTW.

                  I am seriously considering buying an RDV-1050 DVD today - $999 Aus.
                  I will be using this player in a dual role - as a CD, as well as a DVD player.
                  DVD-a and SACD do not interest me, so i dont mind SACD not being an option on this player....

                  I've just ordered a Cd player RCD-02 to replace my old Yamaha 580.
                  But now I have the feeling that maybe it would be better to buy the Dvd player RDV-1050 instead the RCD-02 and also replace my cheap Dvd Sony DVP NS305.
