I found out a few days ago that B&W owns Rotel and now Classe. Go figure...

My understanding was the B&W did own Classe (a recent aquistion) but did not own Rotel (a Japanese family run company) however they do have some relationship (part ownership?) with a number of the Rotel Distributors such as Rotel America....

To elaborate on what Geoff said, B&W does own Classe (and iCommand). They have a cooperative, but not ownership, role with Rotel. B&W and Rotel share a common distributor (Equity International) and B&W and Rotel share a common R&D facility in the UK.

Many consider one of the best bang for your buck combos lies with rotel seperates for B&W speakers. To an extent I agree. I have been reading up on Emotivas gear lately and seem impressed.
