    Program Multi-input

Hello everyone! First let me apologize as I remember a thread that addressed my question, but can't find it.

I use the multi-input source on my rotel 1068 while watching blu-rays. I know that I can use the rotel remote to select it without going to the 1068, BUT is there a way to program the 1068 to select it automatically when watching movies?

    Thanks for the help!

You'd have to get the codes off the RSP-1068 and program the Multi-channel button to be pressed to switch the processor over. That's provided your working with a remote that is capable to relaying the correct code.

Not sure if I understand the question. Are you wanting it to use say video 1 when watching DVD's and multi-in when watching blu-rays, all from the same player? If so, then no, no way to automatically do that.

        I have a harmony remote.

        This is what I want.

I only have a blu-ray player that I use for blu-ray or dvd.

1068 to switch to video 5

1068 to automatically use the multi-input for sound.

For example, when I select Video 1 I have it programmed to use optical digital 1 for sound. I run all the video to the tv.

        Does that help?

        Thanks,
        Shane

There's no way to have one of the video inputs use multi-in for sound. You can however set the multi-in to use any of the video inputs.

You would then have to set the harmony to use the multi-input source selection button instead of the video source button.

That way you can setup a video input to use the digital sound (so the 1068 can decode regular DD & DTS from dvd's) and the multi-input to use the same video input but have full 7.1 analog sound.

So I was at Fry's the other day looking for some old movies. I found this great list of (mostly) older movies and was looking for a few at Fry's when I saw a whole section labeled "Criterion". They appear to be high quality versions of older movies. Does anyone have experience with them?...
