    RB-1080 vs RMB-1095

    Has anyone ever compared the specs between the 1080 and 1095?
    I realize that the 1080 is 2 channel and the 1095 is 5 but lets just talk about running a 2 channel set up for now.

    I've read many posts on running the 1095 with the B&W N804's and most people are happy with it. Now in my world i want a dedicated audio system and when i compare the specs of the 1080 to the 1095 it only looks better.?.?

    Why am i looking at the 1095?, just curious that's all.

    Has anyone compared the 2 amps with the 804's? Is the 1080 that much better?

    What would you run for a 2 channel amp?

      Seriously I would use the 1080 for two channel. Add the 1095 and you got 7 channels. The 1080 is designed for pure two channel listening IMO.

              My original thought in this matter, was that I would run a dedicated 2 channel amp for the fronts (RB-1080), for dedicated 2 channel duties, using the RMB-1095 for the surrounds and center. Then comes DoProIIx providing 7.1 channel mixing, now I am rarely utilizing my 2 channel, because 7.1 sounds so good.

              Just my quick thoughts, your mileage may vary.

                  Have decided on one of these two 5 channel amps. Bryston will cost me 50% more than the Rotel. Do I spend the extra money on the Bryston ? How much more of an amp is the Bryston than the Rotel 1095 ?

                  Hi,

                  Can someone please help. If I connect both the rca and xlr inputs on the above amp at the same time how does the unit switch between the two if it recevies a signal from both as there is no switch?

                  Is this an unwise move? I am trying to fix my no ht bypass on my stereo...
