    clicking remote for 1068

    hello all

    I just picked up my 1068 (along with a 1080 and a 1095)
amazing sound. I have had my klipsch chorus speakers for 8 years and they have never sounded this good....kind of bummed it took me so long to upgrade from a carver

    anyways

My remote control for the 1068 (rr-1050) keeps dying and when it dies it makes a constant cliking noise (there must be a relay in there)

the only way to stop it is to remove an re-instert the batteries.

the remote does not say the batteries are dead.

    any ideas?

Sorry Kaz but it sounds like it has a terminal illness. I would be taking it back to the dealer to get a new one. To my knowldege there are no relays inside of the remote.

Have you changed the batteries anyway? I've seen DOA batteries before that caused some crazy stuff..

My RR-969 will show the same symptoms as the batteries are dying. I can hear a relay switch (unsure of function) and the backlite does'nt stay on long. Handy remote, just chews up batteries. As Kevin said, batteries have been known to come DOA.

            Odd RSP-976 remote issues...and a fix!
            by DrJazz
I just wanted to share an odd experience I've been having with my trusty old RSP-976 surround sound processor. For quite some time now (well over a year, maybe more) I've been having one helluva time with the remote control. Specifically, the 976 would only respond intermittently to volume up and down...

            RSP-1068 and Remote control RR-1050
            by chidambg
I bought a RSP-1068 in early 2006 from the then Indian distributor and the remote RR-1050 had already failed once and now again. Even with new batteries, it displays nothing. As the settings of the processor are entirely at the mercy of the remote, can someone please advise what are my options here?...

            1066 vs 1068 Initial Impression
            by Stevebez
Just got the RSP1068 in UK and took me not more than 1 hour to setup and plug it all in. Very easy to use and has substantial additional functionality over the 1066 that is practically usefull and they should be complimented on not just adding gimmicks all over the shop.

            The passage...

RR-1050 (Remote for RSP1068) Display Problem
            by bnieman
Just yesterday my RR-1050 remote for my RSP-1068 started acting up.

When editing a label for a function on the remote, various characters on the remote display will cause other items to appear faintly (like the learn and edit icons) or faint lines through the main characters to appear...

Batteries for this C1 remote (MX-700)
            by Chetk
I have to say, I've had this remote since Jan. and I am still on the original set of batteries. I have done extensive programming with it and it is my primary remote. I even use the light feature all the time at night.

When I first got it, I was trying to figure out how to turn off...
