Batteries for this C1 remote (MX-700)

I have to say, I've had this remote since Jan. and I am still on the original set of batteries. I have done extensive programming with it and it is my primary remote. I even use the light feature all the time at night.

When I first got it, I was trying to figure out how to turn off the display so that it wouldn't drain the batteries. I thought that it would only display the text when I hit a button or something.

But to my surprise, the text doesn't go away and it doesn't even take up much power. This is such a nice remote.
